Professor Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed (International Relations) of Dhaka University inaugurated this museum on 29th December, 2014.
The water museum has been established by non-government development organization Action Aid. The goal of building this museum is to make people aware on river and water resources.
Water from 10 rivers such as Padma, Meghna, Jamuna, Buriganga, Andhar Manik etc has been kept here. In future water from all the 57 Bangladeshi rivers will be saved here.
You will see various water related products here. You will be able to know river related life and livelihood from this museum. The museum authority has tried to show the picture of past, present and future of rivers. To enrich our knowledge, we should visit this water museum.
